Arkema is a world expert in chemistry providing a new patented compound for the matrix of the carbon fiber tape. Arkema has also an expertise in tape manufacturing to optimise a patented new cost-efficient tape technology and expertise in chemistry to provide a fire-retardant TP composite solution for substituting the metal protection of the trailers.
Arkema’s expertise in chemistry and tape manufacturing process is mandatory for providing high performance tape to Covess and to help Covess to fully adapt its tank manufacturing process to Arkema’s tape characteristics. Arkema contributes with all the other partners to the LCA analysis of the H2 technologies developed in the project.
